You all know how much I love a good cheeseboard. So making an apple and honey cheese snack board for Rosh Hashanah was bound to happen!
Especially since all the foods we traditionally eat over the holiday like apples, honey, figs and dates go so well with cheese!
Since there is so much eating over the holiday, a light snack is all I need in between meals. So I decided to create a small snack board instead of an over-the-top cheeseboard.
You can also serve it as your main meal (if you choose to have a dairy meal). Simply fill the board with more cheese, crackers and bread.

Not only is it the perfect light snack, it also makes the holiday feel more special with such an unexpected sweet treat.
Plus it requires no cooking, so it’s one less thing to think about when preparing for the holiday.
You will need:
Cheese: I used brie (which is amazing with drizzled honey) and a blue cheese.
Apples: Since it’s the peak of apple season, try swapping out the usuals and go for a new variety this year.
Dates: I was lucky enough to find fresh dates (they’re my favorite), but dried dates will work just as nicely.
Figs: Also in season now, they can easily be found in most grocery stores.
Breadsticks or Bread: Bread sticks and slices of crusty bread make the perfect base for sweet and tangy cheeses.
Honey: You can’t have Rosh Hashanah without honey! I drizzled honey over the brie cheese and added some honey comb to the board for an extra special touch.
You can also add dried fruit, pomegranates, star fruit, challah bread etc.
