I love serving food on large platters when entertaining. There are a couple of reasons for this – I love how easy it is to assemble, and I love how pretty and bountiful it makes the food look. To me, bountiful food looks most appetizing. So when food is piled together, overflowing and garnished on a large platter, it seriously looks incredible.
Best part? You can’t mess them up!
Check out my Salmon Nicoise Platter, as an example, HERE.
Today I am sharing a new concept with you! It combines my love of platter presentation and the holiday of Purim.
Hamantaschen Dippers For Purim!
Not only does this platter make entertaining for a party really quick and beautiful, it also makes hamantaschen baking much easier!
One of the reasons it’s so much easier is because I baked my hamantaschen without any filling!
Yup, you heard that correctly-NO FILLING! This ultimately means no messy hamantaschen that unfold in the oven.
All you need to do is put lots of different “fillings” in bowls, and let your guests have fun choosing their own flavors to dip into.
I added fruit to my platter too! It’s kind of like a hamantaschen fondue platter! How fun is that!?
I also made my hamantaschen “mini”, so every bite has enough “filling” on it! No double dipping necessary (or allowed) here 😉
You can make the hamantaschen ahead of time, and place them on a nice big platter before guests arrive. Then put different fillings in bowls, and place them on or around the platter. The fillings don’t have to be homemade, which again, makes for really easy and quick entertaining!
If you like the tradition “filled” hamantaschen, this platter concept would still work wonderfully! Who wouldn’t love a strawberry filled hamantaschen dipped into chocolate??
I hope you enjoy these Hamantaschen Dippers For Purim as much as I do 🙂
