Introducing My New Site!!!!
Welcome! My blog’s new look has arrived!
Over the past several months, I’ve been working really hard to make my new website something special for all of you! It has a clean, sophisticated, yet fun new vibe. It not only looks awesome, but has so many new features that I have always dreamed of having – let’s take a look!
Starting with my absolute favorite page, the Recipe Index.
With my new and improved recipe index you can easily search for recipes by typing in an ingredient in the search bar. Additionally, all of my recipes are organized by course, and (my favorite part), the index updates and organizes itself automatically. This is a BIG time saver for me, and keeps it up-to-date for you. I couldn’t be more excited!
Recipe Card
Another favorite feature of mine is the printable recipe card option on every recipe post. This allows you to print or save just the recipe and not the entire post. Along with the recipe itself, it provides the cooking times and photo of the recipe as well.
Mobile Responsive
Rachelkor.com has a new “mobile responsive” design, which means the layout of the blog will automatically resize to fit your phone or tablet. So next time you’re in the kitchen following a recipe on your device, know that the blog will always be streamlined for easy reading.
Email Subscription Box
I now feature email newsletters for my blog, something a lot of you have asked me for! Yay! This makes it easier than ever to receive new posts and inspiration, which are delivered right to your inbox. I have an email subscription box on the very top, and very bottom of every page. All you need to do is fill out your first name and e-mail, click subscribe, then click the confirmation email, and you’ll be all set!
Search
One of my goals for this site was to create the best possible user experience for you, so next time you’re looking for something, simply use the search bar! It makes it quick and easy to find what you are looking for. It can be found on the side bar and is visible on every page.
Recent Posts
Missed a recipe or post? All of my recent content shows up on my sidebar, so even if you stop in every couple of weeks, you can get yourself up-to-speed really quickly!
Sharing is Caring
Directly after each of my posts you will notice some social media icons. This enables you to quickly and easily share the post with your friends on the web!
Commenting
Whether you are an avid follower, or just visit every once in a while, I absolutely LOVE hearing from you, so it was really important for me to include an easy commenting section on this site. At the bottom of every post leave a comment, thought or just say hi! I promise I always respond!
Follow Me on Social Media
Keep in touch via Facebook, Pinterest, and Instagram too. You can find my social media icons in the sidebar and in the footer. Following via social media is a perfect way to get involved in the site’s community, and to chat with me! I love connecting with you!
Related Posts
I also have four related posts at the bottom of every post. This makes it really easy for you to find similar topics on my site that might interest you.
Footer
On my footer I have a subscription box (as mentioned above) and all of my pages, so there’s no need to scroll all the way back up to access a different page. I also feature an Instagram feed so you can see all my latest Instagram posts. Even if you’re not on Instagram, this is a fun way to get updated on topics I don’t post on this site, like behind the scenes photos!
Pinterest Hover Buttons
A feature that is so simple but has huge impact is the Pinterest hover button. If you hover over any photo in a post you can click on the red “P” button to easily save that photo on pinterest for later use.
I am so incredibly excited that my home on the web is finally ready for everyone to enjoy! The careful combination of creative design and intentional functionality makes this blog something I am truly proud of. And as with most big renovations in life, I can now say that all of the work was 100% worth it.
