Hamantaschen alone are great and all, but cookies and chocolate, or in this case, hamantaschen and brownies together? Yes, please!
Enter hamantaschen-topped brownies!
This “recipe” (if you call brownie mix a recipe) will make an appearance in my home on Purim for years to come, but because Purim falls out on Friday this year, it’s even more perfect. What better way to amp up the classic Shabbat brownie than with hamantaschen I’ll already have on hand? We call this make once, use twice my friends. It’s the perfect way to use leftovers in a new and exciting way.
HOW TO MAKE IT:
- Make brownie mix (or favorite brownie recipe)
- Bake and allow to cool slightly.
- While still warm, top with baked hamantaschen and press them in gently.
- Serve and enjoy!
It’s the perfect treat to enjoy while playing your favorite board game on Shabbat.
As always, I hope these hamantaschen-topped brownies inspire you to be creative in your kitchen. Enjoy and happy Purim!
