Flavor infused sugar has been quite popular recently. Most of you Pinterest users have probably seen recipes and ideas for infused sugar floating around your feed. Well, because I love mint, I decided to give mint infused sugar a try. I have to say, I’m hooked! I’m already thinking of new flavors and recipes for the near future. Perhaps I’ll make an entire post dedicated to different flavors. 😉

Until then, I hope you enjoy this take on it. You can sprinkle it over citrus fruit (check out my Citrus Fruit Salad with Mint Infused Sugar HERE) or other fruit like watermelon and berries. You can also stir it into tea.

Mint Infused Sugar
Author: Rachel Kor
Serves: 1 cup
Ingredients
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup fresh mint leaves
Directions
- Place sugar and mint in a food processor fitted with a metal blade. Pulse until all the mint leaves are in small pieces.
*Notes
When I know I won't be using all of the sugar within a couple of days, I store it in the refrigerator. I take it out about a half hour before I will be using it so it has time to soften.
Store in an airtight container for 1-2 days.
